Lost most of the afternoon today wrestling with the deployment of one of our web applications. Some new “client-specific” code had been developed in our dev environment and it was now time to move it out to QA (quality assurance) and then, hopefully, production.
The dev environment web server is still running Windows 2000 Server.

I have digsby up and running on my old Thinkpad 600E running Windows 2000. I wasn’t sure that it would actually run, but after one small adjustment it seems to be running just fine.
The adjustment? I needed to grab and install the GDI+ redistributable package.
Back in March, the FolderShare folks released a new beta release of the FolderShare client. I was excited until I realized there was no support for Windows 2000. That made me nervous, but I had hoped it wasn’t a big deal.
