I see Amazon has pre-announced the Kindle for PC beta. When I first saw this I’ll admit I was pretty excited – for about 30 seconds. Get the best reading experience available on your PC. Oddly enough, I’m not sure why yet. I get notified that I need to install the update: I install the Installing Vista x64 (no service pack)? Have more than 3GB of RAM? Getting a blue screen of death as the installer starts? I was in that boat earlier tonight. Learned to love the “STOP: 0×0000007E” error. However, pulling out a couple sticks of RAM to get it down to 2GB got the installer working again. Big thanks |
