Following up from last night’s post, here’s a bit more on the WordPress Plugin front. This time, with a bit of a wrinkle… One plugin that I didn’t mention yesterday was WP-Cache2 — a classic that’s often used to help reduce server loads and enable a a blog to handle larger amounts of traffic. I A week or so back, I realized that the WP-Cache plugin was acting funny at this site. In hindsite, it probably started when I had (once again) switched back to using Spam Karma 2 as part of my anti-spam protection. To summarize: When new posts or comments are made, the cache should update or When I switched from self-hosting to DreamHosting, I used DreamHost’s installer facility to do the intial install of WordPress. What was interesting was not only did they bundle in a huge pile of themes, but also included the wp-cache 2 plugin and a strong encouragement to use it.
