I’ll cheerfully admit that while I like Windows XP I’ve never liked the “tonka” or “crayola” themes. Honestly? I’d rather change to the Classic UI instead. And that’s just what I’d do until I discovered the XP Zune theme. That quickly became the first thing I’d install on a fresh XP load – and the included Been a while since I last mentioned this, but I cry every time I see someone running XP with one of the default crayola themes. For pete’s sake folks, at least go get the free Zune theme from Microsoft. Install it, dump the default (and hideous) background. Heck, if nothing else just go with a plain We got the daughter a Zune for Christmas. She managed to brick it shortly afterwards. I had a positive experience calling Zune’s support, at which time they told me to allow 20 business days for the entire cycle of return and fix/replacement. The Zune showed up today — by my count it took 23 business days, but So far, Zune support doesn’t suck. What a pleasant surprise! For those following along from home, we had a Zune problem (where problem = dead) at our house this week. We contacted the folks at woot to see if they could help and they referred us to Microsoft. Seems our refurb. unit has a one year We gave my daughter a 30GB Zune for Christmas. We spotted it on Woot.com back in September — smoking deal, was under $90 for a refurbished brown. Well, they oversold those so we got bumped up to a refurb’d black along with the fancy-schmancy accessory kit (nicer headphones, a case, a wall charger, etc). |
