Who am I?

I’m a married father of 3, comfortably in my 30’s as of this writing in the lower 40’s. By day I’m a fearless IT manager and/or technician, the rest of the time I’m an enthusiastic PC hobbyist. I’ve been coding in various languages and on various platforms for over 20 years. Been a ‘professional technologist’ for over 15 years. I’ve been building and upgrading machines for over a decade. I’ve been mucking about with networks for just a bit longer. I enjoy this stuff, I have fun with it and I love discovering new technology, new ways to do thing, playing with my new ‘geek toys’.

I consider myself a jack of all trades. I know a little about a lot and I’ve never really specialized. Perhaps dilettante is a better word. In my professional history, I’ve found this to work well for me. And as the ADD poster child…

The last 3 – 4 years I’ve been mostly involved with form related projects (lots of Adobe Acrobat) and ASP developement. Along the way I’ve also been an Oracle DBA, a unix hacker and many other fun things.

Along with all that, I also run a small one-man business by the name of Solo Technology in those idle evening and weekend hours (when the day job allows such idleness, of course!).
