Active Directory Repairs and Server Upgrades
MachineLOGIC brought me into the project initially to do some "cleanup work" before they got into server replacements. The client had a small handful of servers all in an Active Directory domain and they had some additional servers coming, but first they wanted to get the existing domain issues squared away.
I started with about 5 hours of work chasing down event log issues and fixing them. There were problems with NTP, sites, replication that were resolved. Then I assisted with moving common services (like RAS / DHCP / DNS / WINS) from the old to new services. Also swung over login scripts, shares, shared printers and backup jobs.
